began in Atlanta, GA in the late 1990's, when Brian Sims began seeing how the
internet was changing retail selling in general. Mr. Sims, founder and a director of the company,
with his wealth of knowledge understood the hunger for well made home furnishings
including a growing interest in classical and traditional
home decor. We traveled far and wide to scout for manufacturers
to give you quality furnishings at affordable prices.
The name
BuyForHome.com was Sims' idea. He hoped that by making one point of access for all things about the home would meet a consumer demand not yet
fulfilled by other corporations.
A New Direction
The
internet revolution was in full swing. In August 1999, he opened
his first on-line store with many styles of furniture. The pieces of the puzzle
were all coming together.
